My style of photography, my approach, the result. That was my tagline when I first set up shop and I still keep it around.
I aim to tell a story with my photos. The big events and the moments in between, the people, the details, the feeling. Not just one pretty portrait but a collection of memories for you and your future selves to enjoy reliving the day. I look for light, colour, a bit of romance, giggles, hugs and stupid dancing. Real moments, not loads of awkward forced posing and interference. I work in a relaxed, unobtrusive and informal style, there to photograph your day, not to be a big part of it.

👋 Hi, I'm Amy, and I'm a wedding and portrait photographer in sunny Southsea.
It's been a while, so here's a little story all about how... I came to be doing this.

I've been a pro photographer for about 13 years. I don't have a fluffy inspiring story about a poignant moment in my childhood and fulfilling my true destiny. I did spend a couple of terms messing about in the darkroom at school making fake UFO photos (Was all about the X- files back then) but went to uni for science not art (thanks Agent Scully) and returned to photography to do my A level at evening classes a while later.

In possession of an A*, a fancy camera, and a lot of bravado, I shot my first wedding for a Dutch friend from work. Hardly anyone spoke English, group photos were carnage, but it was fun! I got married myself and got well into weddings, so I second shot with some other photographers, more favours for friends, a portfolio and a website and it all snowballed.

I shoot to tell a story so let me know yours. Who are you, how'd you meet, what's your best dad joke? If you had to give up cheese or chocolate forever, which would it be?

📸 A rare share of my face, as it's probably about time I introduced myself around here. I'm Amy, and I've been a wedding photographer for around 13 years. 2020 has certainly proved to be the unlucky 13th! I shoot weddings and families around the South of England in a bright, natural style.

While we are home safe, warm and hibernating in tier 4, it's nice to think ahead to 2021 and all the exciting things to come. A perfect time to plot those summer get togethers we missed this Christmas time, a holiday, festival, and maybe even a wedding?
