Have you heard of doorstep portraits? Another one of those things that has arisen out of this strange time that we may never have thought of before. Having some photos on your doorstep would have seemed like quite a weird thing only 3 months or so ago. But actually what a lovely way to remember this (dare I say it…) unprecedented time. We’ve been staying at home for more than 10 weeks now, and I think for most of us we’ve had time to rediscover and reconnect with our home and the people we share it with. Ups and downs of lockdown life. Whether you are a family, a couple, a bunch of housemates or on your own, this is a way to capture that snapshot of you during the covid-19 pandemic. Maybe you’ve worked from home, maybe you’ve home schooled, maybe you’ve been slogging it as a keyworker, or maybe you’ve completed netflix. This is to remind you of that time when you stayed at home.
As lockdown measures are relaxing and people are going back to work, it feels like now is the right time for me to get back out and take pictures. I’ll be arranging socially distant doorstep visits in the PO1-PO5 area this week. I’d love to come and have a chat and snap.
How will it work?
– Email me here to book in
– Pay £30 by bank transfer
– £5 of your fee will be donated to Hive Portsmouth, who are a local charity supporting our most vulnerable residents during the Covid-19 pandemic.
– I’ll come by as arranged and take some natural and relaxed photos outside of your home. It should take no more than 15 minutes.
– You will receive 5 digital images to download from an online gallery. You can buy more if you wish.
Since weddings are cancelled for the foreseeable, this is just a little idea to get me out doing what I love some more and funding my children’s incessant snack demands. I hope to cycle about, so are currently only planning to cover the Portsea Island area. If you’re interested in doorstep portraits but live a bit further out, give me a shout anyway, I could be encouraged to get back in the car.
